Couch Potato

Back in art school one of our assignments was to make a series of drawings based on a single theme. The theme I chose was “people watching TV”. Below are some of the preliminary sketches I made (not the finished artwork). I drew my inspiration mainly from a photobook called, guess what, “Television”. Hope you like them.

Jurgen, how about making your own comic series?
I know you thought about this before, need any help with the scripts? the ink? the paper?

    you art kicks ass!

    Joy: gratiash!
The main problem is time, I suppose… You wouldn’t happen to have a script up your sleeve wouldya?

I’d love to see any of those “taxi driver” stories i’ve read before, in a comic strip…

    “Taxi driver stories”?
Hmmm, definitely something to discuss when we’re in Buenos Aires, methinks!…

    yeah, sure!

writing about taxi drivers is like a fetish obsession I have. dunno why (nor want to)

Jurgen, all your ink sketches are awesome! What kind of pen and paper do you use? Beautiful lines!

    Thanks Evy!
As for what kind of pen/paper I use: just a cheap 2 euro inking pen (you know the ones that come in various colors, you can stick the top upside down in the grip) and 180gr grainy Steinbach. Not much of an art-supplies fetishist I must admit! ;)
