Oooh i like the ’sketchiness’ of the strokes here — his hands, the darkness, the skull. So, could it be that “Bone Machine” is where the Pixies got their song title from (from Surfer Rosa i think)?

Nope: Surfer Rosa was released in 1988 whereas Bone Machine was released in 1992. Maybe it was Waits who got the idea from the Pixies? :-)
